After a craptacular night of sleep -- 13 hours that had 3 hours of non-stop rest followed by 10 hours of waking up once every hour -- I had one of the worst experiences of this whole mess since the first day back in February.
I got the hiccups.
That hurt bad enough when it started, the for a solid two hours after...I felt like I was being jabbed with needles. As it is, I haven't moved much in the last 45 minutes...so I'm not sure what's in store for me when I walk upstairs. I hope I at least sleep tonight.
Tomorrow, I got to the neurologist. Hopefully we get some good news. And if we don't...at least my chiropractor will be filling out my FMLA / short-term disability. And that's just crazy.

Yup, it's official the band is back together...under new management.
Once again, the company is going under another reorganization. As part of this, my former, former boss ("The Evil One") is no longer over the customer service group. He's moving under the Ice Queen as part of some new "Development" group. As part of that, my former boss (the micro manager) is taking over TEO's previous position, which leaves my old teammates without a boss. So, they're coming under my current boss.
There's other more confusing changes going on, but unless you worked here, you wouldn't get the confusion, nor get the implications. Suffice it to say, the one constant of The Pit is change. Recurring, infinitely inverting change.

Hopefully I don't have to wake up like [rdrnrprv/soundclips/DefconOne.wav THIS] again tonight...
So, last night, after still not having recovered from the lack of sleep from midnight Pascha service the previous night, Wifey wakes me up around 3AM.
"Honey, I think we need to call the doctor."
Now, she being 12 months pregnant, tends to stir a bit of adrenaline into my bloodstream. Adrenaline still doesn't work with my physiology lately, but nonetheless, I yank my self out of bed.
Headache, dizzyness, and blurred vision -- all things her doc said to watch out for -- came on her as she got up for a mid-night potty break. So, we call the doc, and he says to "not worry" but pop into the labor & delivery ward at Riverside to check her blood pressure. We pull ourselves together, get dressed, grab The Bag, tiptoe down the stairs (so as not to wake the boy, leaving him the hands of the In-Laws still staying with us), and head off to the hospital.
They strap her into the monitors, getting a drum-beat the likes of an Atlanta H.S. marching band from The Spawn, hook up a blood pressure cuff up to Wifey, and let us sit and talk. The three hours of sleep aside, was kinda nice having a few minutes to sit and chat with my wife for awhile. Woulda been nicer to NOT be doing it at 4AM, but you take what you can get.
Anywho, to make the long story short: [rdrnrprv/soundclips/RemainCalm.wav Dry Run]. Got good transit time to the hospital. Found our way through the halls just fine (having not been there for three years almost to the day), and Wifey and Spawn are just fine.
As for the coma I've been in today, that's a whole other ballgame...
