Severely over did it yesterday with JJ&G (who is adorable btw...no, I'm not a proud uncle at all). However, the bread I made (right) came out flipping awesome. What you see there is the last four inches of a two foot long loaf. I have fixed my leavening issues.
I started making the bread at noon, and the sauce (for spaghetti -- what else is a dego gonna make when his brother comes into town?) shortly thereafter. As for the bread, I figured out my problem with the dough rising earlier this week: The water was too soft. I mixed straight tap water with the reverse osmosis water and you can obviously see the results. Was a beautiful loaf of the way I really remember my loaves looking AND tasting.I had to rest a lot. Up for 10 minutes or so, sit for 20. Over and over I did this. In the end, they got to the house around 6:15pm, and we chit chatted (amidst little Gia's smiles), until Wifey and the kids got home. We ate, and talked some more, but even by then, I was starting to feel the wear of the day on me. Felt it bad. Popped a Perc, and still...was sore as hell. They still had to head to her brother's house (they were down here for a First Communion of her niece), and so we gave our hugs goodbye a little after 8pm, and they were off.
I was downstairs cleaning up when it kinda hit me all at once. Wifey called down to find out if I was coming upstairs soon, and I thought she meant she needed me to beat some sense into the kids. I hobbled upstairs, and sat on the bed...only for her to say no, it was that she needed something brought up. I was completely spent. Nothing left.
Today wasn't much different. Double-drugged myself for church, and that only did marginally much more than having the back brace on. (Yeah, I wore it at church. It worked and I made it through service and coffee hour.) Still more, TheBoy had planned a picnic today after church (a. Cub Scout requirement, and b. it was 85 degrees today), and so I still had to survive that. I did...but only barely.
Now, I am going to bed. Must. Sleep.

All clear on the Sleeper front.
At least I don't have to have any of that on my mind throughout today.

I feel like the 2nd place finisher of a headbutting tournament. My neck and shoulders are sore and my head feels numb from my eyes to the top of my head in one big quarter-sphere. The rest of my body feels slightly better than it has over the past week or so however.
I did dream a bit last night. This bizarre dream where we were at an amusement park and while everyone else was going back on the ride (perhaps, though I'm not sure that's what they did) I wandered around to the shops nearby. Most of them were closed except for this one shop that barely had anything up. Approaching, I recognized it as a shop that sold hand-made necklaces and such. The closer I got I realized it was more of a renaissance-style shop, and so I went into my bag and started pulling out my ren-fest garb.
I put it on, started to walk into the store...and I heard this beeping. I couldn't figure out what the hell it was. It wasn't my alarm. It was the new phone. In my sleep-induced haze, I thought it was the console beeping as if there was a message, so I unplugged it. Then I realized it was the handset. Wifey had left it off the console and the battery was low. I do not like that Sam I Am. I then had to fumble to replug in the console (whose cord fell to the floor after unplugging) and then replace the handset.
It was a this point TheBoy comes in having had a bad dream. Wifey comforts him, and sends him back to bed. Meanwhile I finish plugging in the phone, turn off the light, and realize it's 3:25. My alarm goes off in an hour and a half, my pulse is racing, I'm awake, my wife is tired, and I have no chance of getting any.
I think I managed to go back to sleep.

And now, I wish I hadn't even woken up.
Seven hundred, seventy dollars (and some sort of remainder). That is the total amount of unemployment payments that the State of Ohio wants to be reimbursed because Wifey didn't look for a full time job, without shift, hour, or relative distance restrictions. She wanted part-time second shift (like her old job), and told unemployment that when she applied.
Here's your money. Oh? You missed that fine print that no one pointed out? Yeah, we want nearly a grand back. What? You're broke because because you're unemployed? You should find a job.

While it looks kinda/sorta cool, I just can't buy Charlize Theron as Aeon Flux.
