"Gonna be a rough week." Truest. Statement. Evar. Wrong context.
So, a couple weeks ago (on the day of the Pinewood Derby Race), I had this thing happen where I started feeling all hot and stuff, and my stomach was acting up. I go home, and for some weird reason, my hands start itching. Then my my arms. Then my neck and my head and my sides, and the bottoms of my feet, and my legs, and holy crap what the hell is happening to me!!!!!! I popped some antihistamines, and just tried to calm the hell down, eventually passing out for a couple hours when the itching stopped.
Freak occurrence? Not so much. Happened again this Monday.
Woke up for school. Make happy-happy with Wifey (only stated to reiterate I was feeling OK when I woke), and then started getting ready. Took my shower, and then started feeling stomach-queasy. Tried to use the restroom, no-go, so I figured, Eh, I'll go at school maybe. I pack up the kids, get them to school, and stop at Speedway for my mug of Mt. Dew, and then to Tim Hortons for a couple bagels. I had been feeling a bit queasy, but thought I was just hungry as I hadn't had much to eat the night before. The bagels sounded like a good idea.
Half way to school, and by the time I'd finished the first bagel...it definitely wasn't a good idea. I put the bagel down and just drove on, feeling worse by the mile. By the time I got to school, I sat down in class as it formed, and just kept feeling worse. I got up and tried the restroom again, and nothing. While sitting there, the itching started. My head felt inflamed, it felt like spiders were crawling on my neck and shoulders, and even my forehead was itching. I was starting to lose it.
When I got to the mirror, my head looked like a thermometer. I splashed on some cold water, tried to hold it together, and went back to class. There, I kept falling downhill, and the rest of my classmates around me could see it. I finally asked a question regarding the project which was due the next day, and getting the answer, I apologized to the chef-instructor...and left.
I don't remember a helluva lot of the drive home. It was fast and not fast enough. I kept going back and forth between a constant 70-75 of cop-safe speeds and OMG I NEED TO DRIVE 85 OR I'M GONNA THROW UP! I had tossed off my chef coat and scarf, and wore my gloves, but had all the windows cracked open to keep a cool breeze on me to keep from puking. It only barely worked.I ran in the house to a surprised Wifey who only got out a "What are you doing..." while she was on the phone with someone. I ran into the bathroom and tried to puke...dry heaves. I never like puking, no matter the case, but I really wanted to at that moment. My stomach felt like I was in the middle of Alien. I just wanted it out. Nothin' doing though.
The rest of the morning was very fitful. Sleep. Wake. Pain. Discomfort. Hot. Itching. Ah...antihistamines.
Then...1pm: Hi, remember us? We're the bagels you ate. We're done here, but we're not going the usual route. Back it up boys! And that was all she wrote. I then fell asleep for at least two hours. Felt like crap for the rest of the night, and most of Tuesday as well.
This "itching" thing is creeping me out though. There's no rhyme or reason to it, and I can't for the life of me figure out what might be triggering it. Food? Soap? Environmental? Not a clue. Nothing seems out of the norm, and there's nothing between the two "itchy days" that seems to be in sync.
I guess I'll just have to watch it.

Well, that was fun. Had to conference call Wifey (from a payphone) in with AT&T so we can get the phone and interwebs reinstated. We were already running slim for rent this month, and now it looks like we're going to have to get another bail-out package from MIL and FIL.
Just looking for the next apostle to have to rob Paul for now (Peter's already dead-broke).

Payed the rent here today. At least that's one thing I can pay.
Today, I had to SEVERELY pay the man today. Between Lisa's knee/hip rehab from falling a couple times last...err...autumn..., the boy eating the known universe, and general economic stupidity, we had to let the cell phone bill "lag" a bit last year. In November, they cancelled our service. No biggie, contract was up in December.
As a result of this, it went to collections, incurring not only the back charges (of course), but also an "early termination of contract" fee, as well as collection fees. The pain: $740.
So, for the next four months, I have to make sure that on the designated Friday of each month there HAS to be $185 present in the joint account. Otherwise, the man will not be happy, the bank will not be happy, and I will be a lovely cocktail of angry and depressed (much as I have been the last week of facing this).
Now, we can add to this the topic of potentially going back to school. Online courses are really the ONLY route for my life as it is, so I'm shopping.
University of Phoenix yanked on me with their ads, but a friend has now warned me off of them due to costing too much, too many students in class, and too many weird issues. Apparently DeVry (which is what pulled me into Cowtown) has some online courses. At least there, I know I have credits that DEFINATELY would transfer...they're theirs. Another option is Columbus State, but that I have no clue on what is available/transferable to it.
As per usual, such is my life....
