In honor of the water softener's installation at the apartment (and the fact I got nothin' else at the moment), I bring you the following gallery:

- Obsessing about money because while we have a big account still, it's mostly allocated
- Have an obligation to friends to play Friday night.

Just posted to my raid group:
- Well...I just found out that Jonathan Coulton is playing here, in Columbus.......on Friday night. 9pm my time. That's 7pm server. Anything going on then? Yeah, the raid start.
- I have no clue how much tickets/cover is, but if there's a chance to go, I'm gonna go. Hugs to you guys and all, but it's JONATHAN-FRIGGIN-COULTON! (OK, where are those anti-fanboy pills? I knew I left them around here somewhere...)
- Seriously, if I can arrange ticketing to go see this, I'm going to try to go as I've been putting notes on the requested venues site for over a year. Would be so wrong to miss it.
- I'm trying to get a hold of the place he's playing, but oddly enough, they're closed at 1pm in the afternoon. Hrm.

Again, to the raid group:
- It's a go. $15 out of pocket (well, plus libations) and I'm in the door. Going to drag Shiki (Ceraun) there as well.
- Have fun! I'm sure tons of healing plate will drop. :)
Me 22:59, 4 June 2008 (EDT)
- Church service good: Feast of the Ascension
- Potluck following liturgy VERY good
- MIL's passenger window getting smashed in, her purse stolen from the front seat in a church parking lot not so good.
Crazy crazy night. Just brought the kids home. Going to be myself.

The final leg of our journey down south, and of course, it was the longest. TheBoy was beating us every 10-20 minutes with, "Are we at the beach yet?" I am now officially a parent having had to deal with that. :)
The campsite was in Surfside Beach, SC, and was very nice even on first appearances. The area was clean, the nearby campers didn't seem too rowdy, and it was a pretty easy setup (no constant maneuvering like we've had to do in past campsites). We got settled in, and as no one was really up for cooking or even going to a restaurant, MIL and FIL went out and got pizza. Meanwhile Wifey, TheBoy, Princess, and I donned our swim gear, and headed down to the beach.
Saltwater takes a bit of getting used to. Having grown up going only to freshwater locations (Hamilton Beach State Park on the shores of Lake Ontario) or pools, saline going into the eyes/nostrils is a bit startling at first. TheBoy got his body board out right away, and had fun on it (that day and for the rest of the week). The sun was getting close to going down behind the trees, and the beach was near-empty. (A little bit of eye-candy, but not too much to be a distraction).
We went back to the camper, had our pizza, and got the beds ready for our first night in the camper at the beach.
