I think it's near the opening of Wargames, Dabney Coleman states that the DefCon system is used to show what level of security America is at, and that DefCon 5 is complete peace. One of the people on the tour asks, "What happens if we reach DefCon 1?" He turns and responds matter-of-factly, "World War III."

I started joking around at one point when I would calm down after a heavy situation that "we're back down to DefCon 5". On the flipside, when I'd go into complete and total panic mode, "Scramble the bombers and take us to DefCon 1!" (What do you mean you don't get the quote? Go watch the movie!)

I finally found somewhere a picture of all five DefCon numbers on the same board from the movie. I yanked 'em down and put them on the site, placing them in a point of prominence on the main page. Now, you'll be able to see how hap-happy happy I am...or when to just get back.

I feel fine. I feel better now. I feel better than James Brown.

Eh, life sux sometimes, I'm holding on.

I can handle this. Really I can. Can't I?

I know God won't give me more than I can handle. I just wish he wouldn't trust me so much.
