2007

Me 08:23, 9 October 2007 (EDT)

I just could not pull it together this morning. I went to bed moderately early last night (for me). Sat and talked with Wifey a bit. Granted she woke up with leg cramps around 11:30 and I blearily plugged in the electric blanket for her, but that shouldn't have done this to me.

Snoozed through three smacks to the clock. Morning regiment. Make tea and put breakfast in microwave. Downstairs, hop on-line...maintenance Tuesday in WoW. Read some news. Do something stupid blowing some time. Go up, finish of tea making, get lunch items together, and out the door.

Don't pull out until 7:34, and I'm supposed to be there at 7.

In other news, there's a new guy on the block: Robert Half Technology (RHT from now on). Got the contact via our friend that we went on the Buddy Walk with. There are a couple other feelers out there as well, but he's the first to bite.

My interview with him is on Thursday at 4:30 downtown. I have a TON of stuff to put together for him though:

  • References
    • 3 Supervisor / Manager
    • 3 Guru-Mentor
    • 3 Co-Worker
  • Create a Marketing Profile
    • "We ask that you e-mail us a copy of your updated Resume and Marketing Profile before our meeting. We have had tremendous success when we have a good Marketing Profile to share with our clients!"
  • Please provide examples of how you have saved your company Time or Money
  • Please be prepared to discuss a Marketing Strategy for your Skill Set, This will included:
    • Companies you would like to work for
    • Recent interviews
    • Other firms or resources that you are utilizing during you search

I'm 32 years old, looking for a new job...and I have homework.  :)
