I had a chance to come across your information via the web a couple weeks back. I have been working on an IT, analytics type position for more than a few weeks now. After having a chance to reconnect with the manager on his needs and expectations recently, I felt you were still a good fit for this particular opening/need and wanted to get a general job description out to you for review. We are working with a larger company in the Dublin area on a ST contract request. There is potential to work with the client longer than the allotted 3-6 mths, but at this point I don’t want to set expectations past that. Depending on your search and interest this could be something we can further explore together.
-What is the basic function of the position? (ex- Data Warehousing? Developer? DBA? Project Manager?)
- This is a senior analyst who will be helping me with pricing analytics requiring ‘out-of –the-box thinking’ and business insights. The typical job requires the ability to manage massive amount of data in Access and do tons of graphing in excel.
-Specific technologies or skills? ( Specific Tools? Languages? Databases?)
- Proficient user of Access, Excel- expert level knowledge is ideal
-Basic Projects to be completed / and specific technology or skills/experience that will be required for projects?
- Pricing Analysis. This requires the user to crunch through 3-4 millions line of data in Access, segment the data by different dimensions and run scenario analysis.
-Duration/Payrate
- 3-6 month contract and $30-$33/hr (commensurate with experience)
